Private groups are for the creator’s enjoyment only. Group members will not be aware of the group’s existence. A green lock icon will show when your group is marked as private.
A public group is visible to all its members. Anyone added becomes an “indirect” connection and will appear on every member’s friends list. You can assign multiple admins, each with the ability to add or remove players. When creating a public group, you’ll see an open lock icon next to “Public Group” to indicate its status.
Free accounts serve as a test drive of the Rixley application, giving you full access to all features for up to 7 event invites. Paid accounts unlock unlimited access to Rixley for an entire year.
People on your friends list who were not directly invited by you will have an unshaded star next to their names. These connections appear because you’re part of a group that includes them. To see how you’re connected, click on their profile picture. If you’d like to make them a direct friend for future invites, open their profile card and select “Add as Direct Friend”. Once added, a shaded star will appear next to their name.
Shaded and unshaded stars indicate the type of connection you have with a player. An unshaded star means you’re connected through a mutual group. A shaded star means you’re direct friends – either through an app invite or by updating their status on their profile card. Making someone a direct friend moves them higher on your friends list, making them easier to find when creating events or groups.
No, creating a tee time or match in Rixley does not automatically reserve a time at your club. We recommend securing your tee time or court separately, then using Rixley to invite and organize your preferred playing partners.
